Questions we get asked
How much does a Level 2 survey cost?
It depends on the size and value of the property. Send us the address and we'll give you a fixed price the same day. No survey, no fee.
Do I need to be there on the day?
No. We collect keys from the agent and let ourselves in. You're welcome to come along if you'd rather, but most people don't.
Will you lift floorboards or move furniture?
No. A Level 2 is a visual inspection. We don't lift carpets, move heavy furniture or open up walls. Anything we can't see, we say so in the report.
What if you find something serious?
It gets a condition rating 3, which means it needs sorting urgently. We'll ring you before the report lands so it isn't a shock, and tell you who to get in for a specialist quote.
Does it come with a valuation?
Not as standard. We can add one to a Level 2 for a set fee. Worth knowing your mortgage lender's valuation is not a survey and won't tell you what shape the place is in.
